YaLLa Esports and Myco Launch $450K Compass CS:2 Series in Strategic Web3 Collaboration

In a significant stride toward innovation in the esports sector, YaLLa Esports, a renowned Middle Eastern esports organization, has unveiled a strategic partnership with the emerging web3 streaming platform, Myco.

This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for both entities as they embark on hosting Compass, an ambitious Counter-Strike 2 tournament boasting a prize pool of $450,000 (~£369,000).

This partnership grants Myco exclusive Arabic language streaming rights for both the qualifiers and finals of the Compass tournament. Additionally, it extends to the MENA Open tournaments, integrating these competitive events into Myco’s cutting-edge web3 platform. This unique feature allows viewers to earn rewards while engaging with live esports content, adding a layer of interactivity and incentive unmatched in traditional streaming services.

Compass kicked off its qualifying rounds in October 2024, with each of the two qualifiers offering a $25,000 (~£19,981) prize pool.

The winners of these qualifiers will secure a spot at the $400,000 (~£319,800) LAN final scheduled for June in the United Arab Emirates. German powerhouse BIG is already confirmed to compete, having clinched the first qualifying spot.

The Compass series is not just a tournament; it’s a vision brought to life by YaLLa Esports to amplify the esports ecosystem in the UAE. The event is expected to generate numerous job opportunities and provide a platform for local teams to showcase their prowess against globally recognized competitors.

With the addition of Myco, Compass now boasts a total of four major partners, including GRID Esports and BitSkins. This diverse partnership portfolio underlines the series’ commitment to leveraging new technologies to enhance the fan experience.

Klaus Kajetski, CEO of YaLLa Esports, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: “We believe in the power of the community. With Myco, we will not only empower our viewers but also value their contributions by offering them the opportunity to earn while they watch. Our goal is to harness new technologies to enrich the Compass fan experience across the board. Such partnerships are crucial in realizing our long-term vision for esports.”

This partnership between YaLLa Esports and Myco is set to redefine how fans interact with esports, promising an immersive experience that rewards engagement and fosters a deeper connection with the sport.
