Monte Parts Ways with Woro2k: The New Chapter for the Team

Monte has confirmed that their In-Game Leader (IGL) and AWPer, Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk, has left the team. Woro2k is one of the founding members of the current lineup, and therefore his decision to leave the team means a change in the team’s formation and tactics.

Woro2k’s Journey with Monte

Woro2k signed with Monte in July 2022 from MAD Lions. The fact that he was both the IGL and AWPer was very important in determining the team’s formation. During the period of almost two years, he made a great impact on Monte’s tactics and on-field captaincy. Now, Monte wants to rebuild Counter-Strike team and Woro2k leaving is a part of this process.

The Rise and Struggles

Monte had some good times and some bad times during Woro2k’s period of service. The team started the year 2022 very well with great performances and the trend indicating that it would be a great team to watch out for. But they could not sustain this performance, the major problem being the frequent changes in the team. Fluctuations in the roster over the last one year affected the team’s stability negatively.

Another unforgettable event was the acquisition of sdy, which strengthened Monte’s firepower and allowed him to take the tenth place in the world ranking. They also performed well at the BLAST.tv Paris Major. However, the team was weakened and searching for stability after the early release of br0 and sdy this year.

Looking Forward

Currently, Monte’s roster is still unknown as they look for a substitute for Woro2k. Some tweets from the player, as well as the organization, are ambiguous, and it appears that Woro2k has already transferred to another team, but there is no official statement about this.

Monte’s current Counter-Strike lineup is:

  • Serghij “DemQQ” Demchenko
  • Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek
  • Martin “STYKO” Styk
  • Ali “hAdji” Haïnouss
  • Serhij “lmbt” Bezhanov

Thus, as Monte progresses, the audience and analysts will be eagerly observing the changes in the team’s approach to the competitive Counter-Strike.
