In a massive roster swap, JNX is expected to come back to the LEC, this time with SK Gaming for the 2025 season. As reported by Sheep Esports, the German top laner has agreed to a verbal contract with the organization, marking his return to the team after his first stint with SK Gaming in 2019.
JNX will be taking the place of Joel “Irrelevant” Miro Scharoll, who is believed to be moving to Team BDS for the next season. SK Gaming had several options for the top lane position, including Kyeong “Photon” Gyu-tae and Adam “Adam” Maanane, but the team ultimately decided to bring back their former player.
A Return to the LEC Stage
JNX has been in the LEC before. He was last seen in the big leagues with SK Gaming in 2020 before moving to the ERLs for two years with SK Gaming’s academy team and Team BDS Academy. His standout performance came during the LFL Summer Playoffs, where he played for Team BDS Academy and helped defeat Karmine Corp (KCB).
In the 2023 season, JNX broke the record for the most solo kills by a top laner, achieving an impressive 82 solo kills during the regular season. His evolution from a generalist capable of playing both carry and weakside to a top laner with strong carry potential and a clutch factor has made him a highly valuable asset for any team.
The 2025 SK Gaming Roster is Coming Together
With JNX’s return, SK Gaming is shaping its roster for the 2025 season. In addition to him, jungler Ismaïl “ISMA” Boualem and mid laner Steven “Reeker” Chen have also verbally agreed to remain with the team. Rahel and Luon, the Korean bot lane duo who played for SK last season, are still under contract until 2025, though there is no official word on whether they will remain in the starting lineup.
