  • Dizzy (E) Enhancements: Dizzy’s pre-fire targeting delay is decreased from 0.5 to 0.35 seconds, and the missile speed is ramped up from 7000 to 10000. These tweaks ensure that Dizzy’s shots are quicker and more reliable, boosting Gekko’s confidence in engaging with the ability.

  • Camera Lock and Leap Impact: The update introduces a camera lock during Trailblazer’s leap, requiring Skye to be more strategic in choosing between extra leap distance and angle clearing.
  • Concussion Changes: Trailblazer’s concussion now also affects allies, aligning it with abilities like Gekko’s Thrash and requiring more coordination from Skye and her team.
  • Trailblazer Destruction: When destroyed mid-leap, Trailblazer no longer causes a concussion explosion and will play a destruction voice line.

New TDM Map: Drift

  • Drift Joins the Roster: The new map, Drift, is now available for Team Deathmatch. It features a long-range mid, isolated side lanes, and dynamic lane-swapping mechanics, promising a fresh and exciting gameplay experience.

Performance Updates:

  • Raw Input Buffer: The beta tag is removed, and the default setting is now ‘on,’ though existing settings for players will remain unchanged.

Player Behavior Improvements:

  • Party Invite Codes: Party leaders can now generate invite codes, allowing others to join their party in-game easily.

Bug Fixes Across the Board

  • Agent-Related Fixes: Issues with kill attribution during ability control have been fixed, affecting agents like Sova, Gekko, and Cypher.
  • Player Behavior: A rare bug causing spawning issues after AFK detection has been resolved.
  • Premier Mode: The ‘Waiting for Opponents’ message in Overtime Voting will no longer appear behind the voting team.

Patch 7.12 of VALORANT marks a significant update as it wraps up Episode 7, setting the stage for the new year with enhanced gameplay, strategic depth, and a new map to explore.
