Undefeated EEU Dota Pro Circuit Champions Leave Organization Ahead of Berlin Major

Despite their impressive 7-0 record in the Eastern European Dota Pro Circuit’s second tour and earning a spot at the Berlin Major, the HellRaisers’ members have chosen to part ways with the organization.

It has been disclosed that HellRaisers and its former players were not closely involved, as the organization wasn’t overseeing its Dota 2 roster. Instead, the organization merely granted players and management the right to use its name for nearly two years.

During much of their collaboration, HellRaisers’ Dota 2 team was primarily a mid-tier contender, but their fortunes improved in the 2023 DPC season. After participating in the year’s first Major, HellRaisers achieved an unbeaten 7-0 streak in the EEU DPC, securing a spot in the Berlin Major.

While the separation from their organization may initially appear unusual, it’s likely that the agreement between HellRaisers and its Dota 2 players involved little or no financial compensation. As the squad was essentially organization-less besides bearing the HellRaisers name, the players, now with a stellar 2023 track record, are exploring sponsorship opportunities.

Cloud9 is one organization that has been considering a return to the Dota 2 scene. Although it was an early entrant to the Dota 2 world, Cloud9 stepped back from the game in 2020.

Given the ex-HellRaisers’ flawless performance, which left regional powerhouses Team Spirit and BetBoom Team behind, they have become the most sought-after team for organizations wanting to make a mark in the top tier of Dota 2 competition.
