Two Southeast Asian Teams Eliminated from Dota 2’s Berlin Major

After the groups stage of Dota 2’s Berlin Major, all Western European teams secured a spot in the upper bracket while two out of three teams from Southeast Asia were eliminated from the tournament on the weekend of April 29.

Execration and Team SMG, despite showing improvement throughout the regular season, finished at the bottom of their groups, leaving the region with a disappointing result after an exciting spring tour.

TSM from North America, beastcoast from South America, BetBoom Team from Eastern Europe, and Invictus Gaming from China were also eliminated. TSM, the top-seeded team from NA, particularly stands out, as they were able to defeat Shopify Rebellion on their home turf but failed to make it to the playoffs in the Lima and Berlin Major, missing out on prize money and Dota Pro Circuit points.

The playoffs of the Dota 2 Berlin Major will continue on May 1.
