TSM Reportedly Signs New Mid Laner for 2023 LCS Summer Split: Ruby from Team Heretics

TSM’s League of Legends team has reportedly found a new mid laner to replace Maple for the upcoming 2023 Summer Split. According to Alejandro Gomis from Blix.gg, TSM has reached a verbal agreement with Team Heretics’ mid laner, Lee “Ruby” Sol-min.

Ruby has had a difficult season with Team Heretics, failing to advance to the LEC group stage in the Spring Split and experiencing an early exit during the Winter Split. Meanwhile, TSM struggled in the first half of the 2023 season, failing to qualify for the playoffs for only the second time in franchise history with a record of 8-10. Following this sub-par performance, the team parted ways with multiple players, including Maple, as well as their general manager and team manager.

Although TSM still needs to fill a starting top laner vacancy, they have signed 2023 substitute Hauntzer. With Ruby joining TSM for the summer, he will become one of the few players to have played in both Europe and North America during the same season. Furthermore, he will be playing in his fourth different region, having previously played in the PCS and LPL.

Ruby will make his debut with TSM when the LCS Summer Split kicks off on June 1.
