Team Heretics is looking to turn their fortunes around in the upcoming LEC Summer Split with the addition of a promising talent.
According to a report from Blix.gg, Vincent “Vetheo” Berrié has verbally agreed to join Team Heretics as their new mid laner, filling the void left by Ruby, the previous Korean player in the roster.
This move brings an end to Vetheo’s short stint with Excel Esports, which began in December of the 2022 season. The French player joined Excel after Misfits Gaming exited the LEC. While the team initially showed promise, they struggled to achieve the desired results, finishing in last place in both the Winter and Spring Splits.
Vetheo faced additional challenges during his time with Excel, battling mental health issues that impacted his performance. He was eventually replaced by Felix “Abbedagge” Braun before the final week of the regular spring split.
Despite the setbacks, Vetheo was once regarded as one of the rising stars in the LEC, with the potential to compete against Europe’s top mid laners. Now, he has the opportunity to prove himself and make a comeback with Team Heretics as their new mid laner.
Both Vetheo and Team Heretics will have to await the official start date of the LEC Summer Split, as it has yet to be confirmed.
