The LCS has shortlisted five players as finalists for the Spring Split MVP award, with the winner set to be announced during the LCS Spring Finals this weekend.
Cloud9 has three players in the running: Fudge, Blaber, and Berserker. All five of Cloud9’s starters received All-Pro accolades this split, with Emenes and Zven achieving second-team recognition alongside the three first-team selections mentioned.
Last week, Cloud9 was also honored with the Coaching Staff of the Split award. The other two players vying for the LCS Spring MVP title are Golden Guardians mid laner Gori and FlyQuest ADC Prince. Prince seemed like a surefire MVP choice during FlyQuest’s 8-1 start to the split, but his chances dipped after the team’s 6-5 finish.
The matchup between FlyQuest and C9 on the final day of the Spring regular season drew attention to the bot lane, as Prince and Berserker competed to make their final MVP case. C9 emerged victorious, with Berserker achieving an incredible 12/1/2 scoreline on Draven. Although the award winner will only be unveiled on Sunday, Berserker and Prince have been leading contenders throughout the split, with the C9 star having the edge in the round-robin stage.
