TheMongolz Reemerges with Former IHC Players for RMR Event

Mongolia’s premier esports team adopts the iconic tag as they prepare for competition.

MESA, the Mongolian tournament coordinator responsible for the BLAST.tv Paris Major Asia RMR, has revealed that the ex-IHC squad will participate in the forthcoming event in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, under the renowned TheMongolz moniker.

As the highest-ranked Mongolian team entering the RMR, TheMongolz will now compete while donning a historic jersey once worn by legendary players such as Enkhtaivan “Machinegun” Lkhagva, Temuulen “Zilkenberg” Battulga, and Erdenedalai “maaRaa” Bayanbat, who now serves as the team’s coach. These players previously represented TheMongolz at prominent events like IEM Katowice and IEM Oakland.

The IHC organization faced controversy prior to the players’ exit when the founders of the cryptocurrency behind the team’s name were apprehended. However, esports division chairman Dave Lee denied any involvement in the arrests.

In terms of recent developments, TheMongolz has undergone roster changes, bidding farewell to Bat-Enkh “kabal” Batbayar and Tengis “sk0R” Batjargal and welcoming Baatarkhuu “Bart4k” Batbold and, more recently, Chinguun “hasteka” Bayarmaa to the team.

Currently ranked 22nd globally, TheMongolz will debut their new member, hasteka, at the RMR event, kicking off their journey in the tournament on their home turf against Twisted Minds on Thursday, April 6th at 09:30.

TheMongolz won’t be the only Mongolian team vying for a spot at the Major in Ulaanbaatar, as Gan-Erdene “dobu” Batbold’s Eruption will also represent the East Asian nation that is gradually becoming a dominant force in the region.

TheMongolz roster includes:

  • Garidmagnai “bLitz” Byambasuren
  • Sodbayar “Techno” Munkhbold
  • Baatarkhuu “Bart4k” Batbold
  • Tuvshintugs “Annihilation” Nyamdorj
  • Chinguun “hasteka” Bayarmaa

With Erdenedalai “maaRaa” Bayanbat serving as the team’s coach, TheMongolz are set to make their mark in the upcoming RMR event, showcasing the rising talent from Mongolia in the esports world.
