TheMongolz Achieve Third Straight Major Berth, Joining Grayhound in Paris

TheMongolz have claimed the second Asian spot in the BLAST.tv Paris Major Challengers Stage, following a 2-0 victory over Rare Atom in the consolidation final. They will join Grayhound, who secured the first Asia-Pacific spot, as well as eight teams from the completed Europe A RMR and two from the ongoing Americas RMR, which is heading into its final day.

The updated roster of teams for the BLAST.tv Paris Major, scheduled for May 8-21, is as follows:

Legends Stage

  • Ukraine Natus Vincere
  • Europe fnatic
  • United Kingdom Into the Breach
  • Kosovo Bad News Eagles

To play decider

  • Brazil FURIA
  • Brazil paiN

Challengers Stage

  • Europe GamerLegion
  • Europe OG
  • Europe MOUZ
  • Europe Apeks
  • Australia Grayhound
  • Mongolia TheMongolz

The Mongolian squad is set to make their third consecutive Major appearance in Paris after representing IHC at PGL Major Antwerp and IEM Rio Major in 2022.

Just before the current Major cycle, Garidmagnai “bLitz” Byambasuren’s team decided to leave their former organization and adopt the renowned TheMongolz moniker.

With a new name and the recent swap of Tengis “sk0R” Batjargal for Chinguun “hasteka” Bayarmaa, TheMongolz entered the qualifier amid uncertainty about their form. However, they triumphed after four days of play, defeating Twisted Minds and Rare Atom twice to secure their spot at the Paris Major, with their only loss coming against Grayhound. Hasteka recorded an average 0.95 rating during the tournament.
