Team Zero Reveals New Dota 2 Lineup for BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024

Team Zero has officially unveiled its new Dota 2 lineup, with Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan as a sub for the recently released Remus “ponlo” Goh. The roster reveal was made on Team Zero’s Weibo account on September 23 as the team prepares for the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 qualifiers.

Team Zero was introduced at TI13 and unfortunately, they performed the worst at the tournament. Now, they are looking forward to improving their performance in the next tournaments.

Team Zero’s New Dota 2 Roster

Similar to many teams that were gearing up for the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 Qualifiers, Team Zero had little time left to complete their roster for the new season. Pyw comes in to replace them as position-4 support after ponlo’s departure. Although this is a temporary position, the change should not affect the team much since most of the players will still be retained. This move also shows that Team Zero is stable and confident in the team that has taken them through the competitive season.

Ponlo’s Departure

Ponlo left Team Zero shortly after the team’s elimination at TI13. Not surprisingly, ponlo was disappointed with the outcome and shared his frustration with his play at The International debut. He also disclosed his intention to move to a European team, which will be a new phase in his life. Nevertheless, the experience of reaching TI13, playing for Singapore in one of the largest esports championships, is worth it.

Recap of Team Zero’s TI13 Campaign

Despite the fact that Team Zero was TI13’s worst performer, the team’s journey to the tournament was quite challenging, and they managed to accomplish some significant feats along the way. They fought their way through the China TI13 Qualifiers and defeated teams like G2 x iG and Azure Ray. They even dominated their group during the TI13 Group Stage, surpassing teams like Team Falcons, BetBoom Team, and Nouns Esports.

However, their fortune changed in the Seeding Decider match where they lost to Aurora Gaming. This was followed by another loss to 1w Team in the Lower Bracket of the TI13 Playoffs, eliminating them from the tournament.

Despite these setbacks, Team Zero is still a team to contend with, and the fact that they have not changed their roster significantly in almost two years is a testament to their dedication. As ponlo chases opportunities in Europe, the team is keen on coming back and performing well in upcoming tournaments such as the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 qualifiers.
