Team Spirit has released a statement about the temporary departure of two of their championship-winning players, Yatoro and Mira. This was announced through the team’s social media with details that both Yatoro and Mira will be transferred to the inactive list.
Although the details of their split are still unknown, the consequences of their decision are far-reaching. Both players were instrumental in Team Spirit’s TI 10 and TI 12 championships as well as the 2023 Riyadh Masters championship. Nevertheless, this year’s TI was not as successful for the team as they were eliminated in the first Lower Bracket match against G2 x iG, which was quite an unexpected outcome for the team.
The sudden elimination put an end to their run and denied Team Spirit the chance of getting a third Aegis. Following the announcement, Team Spirit offered heartfelt words to their departing players, wishing them a well-deserved rest:
These past years have been years of incredible memories — the victories, records, and achievements together. Thank you for the time on stage at The International, for Riyadh Masters, and for the emotions you gave to the fans.
As both Yatoro and Mira decide to take a break, Team Spirit will have a problem in finding players who will be able to replace them. Their break comes at the time when the team is preparing for a number of tournaments, such as:
- PGL Wallachia Season 2 on October 4
- betBoom Dacha Belgrade on October 19
- DreamLeague Season 24 qualifiers on September 24
