Team Liquid Struggles at Berlin Major 2023, Risk Elimination

Team Liquid, considered one of the top Dota 2 teams in the world, is at risk of being eliminated from the Berlin Major 2023, the first Valve event to showcase teams playing on the new 7.33 patch.

Despite finishing first in the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 2 Division I standings, and placing second at Dreamleague Season 19, the team has struggled in the tournament and is currently ranked in 7th place in Group A, putting them at risk of elimination.

With a score of 3-3 and all three series resulting in a draw, Team Liquid must win its next few games to move up in the rankings and avoid elimination.

BetBoom and Gaimin Gladiators are currently in the top 2 of Group A with a score of 5-3 and 6-2, respectively. Meanwhile, OG and Shopify Rebellion are leading Group B with a score of 7-1 and 5-3, respectively, even with stand-ins.

The Berlin Major 2023 offers a prize pool of $500,000 USD and 2700 DPC points, which can help teams qualify for The International 12.

Team Liquid’s current position in the tournament is precarious, and it remains to be seen if they can stage a comeback and secure their spot in the playoffs. With other top teams such as Gaimin Gladiators, BetBoom, OG, and Shopify Rebellion performing well, the Dota 2 competitive scene is showcasing its depth and talent.
