Hong Kong-based Talon Esports has unveiled a new partnership with online bookmaker 1xBet, focusing on its Dota 2 team.
As Talon’s primary sponsor for its Dota 2 squad, 1xBet joins a long list of esports organizations and Dota 2 teams that have collaborated with prominent betting companies. Previously, 1xBet has sponsored teams like OG Esports, Natus Vincere, and HellRaisers. The bookmaker has also worked with tournament organizers and esports leagues, such as ESL, WePlay Esports, and CCT.
1xBet has shown particular interest in teams competing in Valve’s CS:GO and Dota 2. Recently, Talon secured a third-place finish at the Lima Major, outperforming renowned teams like PSG.LGD and Team Spirit—the latter being a winner of The International (TI) and a 1xBet partner.
In addition to esports, 1xBet has sponsored football clubs like FC Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain (PSG), both of which also have esports divisions.
Sean Zhang, Talon’s CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, “They have already shown an immense commitment to Esports, and we are excited to be able to contribute together to the continued growth of Esports in Asia.”
