Skyesports Unveils Ambitious $1M Counter-Strike 2 Roadmap for 2024

Skyesports, a dominant force in South Asian esports, has announced an exhilarating roadmap for the 2024 Counter-Strike 2 season, featuring an impressive $1 million prize pool.

This ambitious plan sets a new benchmark in the region’s esports landscape, integrating both international and Indian teams in a series of high-stakes competitions.

  • The Skyesports Grand Slam, scheduled from March 14th to 18th, will ignite the esports season, followed by the Skyesports Masters in May.

These events are part of Skyesports’ commitment to blend local talent with global esports fervor, bringing together top-tier teams for unforgettable LAN events.

  • In a significant move, Skyesports will organize the Skyesports Championship in July, boasting a $150,000 prize pool.

But the action doesn’t stop there. September will see the Skyesports Souvenir in Colombo, Sri Lanka, a fusion of teams from India, Europe, and North America, competing for another $150,000 prize.

  • Skyesports is set to introduce the Skyesports Global Tour in Bangkok, Thailand, at the end of October, featuring a whopping $250,000 prize pool.

This global IP promises intense competition, with participating teams qualifying from various regions including India, Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia.

Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports, expressed enthusiasm about the roadmap: “Our focus for 2024 is on nurturing talent, expanding our global reach, and ensuring sustainability for teams. With five global IPs and a total prize pool of $1m, we are committed to showcasing international esports prowess, particularly in India.”

The year will conclude with a high-profile India vs Pakistan Series in December in Abu Dhabi, splitting a $50,000 prize pool. Complementing these mega-events, Skyesports is also investing in grassroots esports, supporting collegiate and cafe-level Counter-Strike 2 events in India.

Skyesports’ strategy includes robust partnerships with Indian streaming platform Loco and hardware giant AMD.

These collaborations are essential in supporting the live tournaments and enhancing the overall esports experience. The company has also allied with MOGO, a collegiate esports platform, to bridge traditional sports and esports in India. Furthermore, Skyesports has previously made waves with its Skyesports Championship for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), offering free LAN event experiences.

With this comprehensive and dynamic roadmap, Skyesports is poised to solidify its position as a premier esports tournament organizer, not just in South Asia, but on a global scale.

The 2024 season is set to be a landmark year, promising thrilling competitions, international collaborations, and a showcase of the best in Counter-Strike 2 esports
