Sentinels May Shift Roles and Players in Upcoming VCT Americas Match Against LOUD

Recent Ranked VALORANT matches have sparked speculation that Sentinels could be changing their lineup and player roles for their upcoming VCT Americas match against LOUD on Friday, April 21.

Sacy has been seen practicing with initiators once more, rather than playing controllers, while Zekken has been playing Jett frequently in Ranked matches. These developments suggest the possibility of pANcada returning to the controller role and Marved stepping in to play smokes.

The VALORANT community observed Sacy and Zekken playing duos yesterday, with Sacy taking on the initiator role. Despite being a natural initiator, Sacy switched to controller before VCT Americas, with pANcada transitioning from controller to sentinel. While these changes proved successful against 100 Thieves, Sentinels struggled in matches against NRG and Leviatán.

Sacy’s return to initiator in Ranked matches has led the community to believe he will resume his original role in the fourth round of VCT Americas against LOUD. The Sentinels’ VALORANT team has faced challenges recently, such as a 2-1 loss to Leviatán and the departure of head coach Donald “Syyko” Muir. Furthermore, it has been revealed that TenZ played with a hand injury, prompting his girlfriend, streamer Kyedae, to ask for empathy during this difficult period.

While these changes remain speculative, they are based on players’ roles in Ranked matches and the team’s performance after their loss to Leviatán. It is unclear why TenZ played with an injury instead of allowing Marved to step in, but it appears that visa issues may be preventing the Canadian from traveling to Los Angeles.

As of now, the only confirmed change is the appointment of former strategic coach Adam Kaplan as the new head coach. Sentinels will face LOUD on Friday, April 21 at 2 pm CT.
