As the 2024 competitive season draws near, the esports community is abuzz with the latest details about the Premier Esports system for EMEA.
This innovative system is set to revolutionize the way teams climb the ranks in VALORANT, offering a streamlined path to professional play and shining a spotlight on emerging talent.
Premier Esports will serve as the primary gateway for teams aiming to qualify for VALORANT Challengers and the VCT.
Starting from Split 2 in 2024, Premier will be the exclusive method for teams to advance into VALORANT Challengers EMEA, following the promotion/relegation process in May. For Split 1 of 2024, both VALORANT Regional Circuits (VRCs) and Premier will facilitate team promotions into Challengers. However, post-Split 1, VRCs will shift focus to nurturing talent at the grassroots level without direct promotion into Challengers EMEA.
To qualify for Challengers through Premier, teams must attain Contender status, achievable by ranking Immortal 3 with relative recency.
This requirement underscores the high level of skill and dedication needed to progress in the competitive VALORANT scene.
Premier Esports EMEA will feature seven distinct zones for qualification, each with its own gamepods. These zones mirror the countries covered within each Challengers League Territory, ensuring that successful teams in Premier can seamlessly transition to their corresponding Challengers League. Teams are required to compete on their respective gamepods to ascend through Premier into Challengers.
To be eligible for Challengers, players must be at least 16 years old.
Additionally, three out of the five starting players must be residents of the team’s respective Premier Zone. This residency can be established through citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or other special statuses like refugee or asylum status. Some regions may also mandate teams to be incorporated entities, with a two-week window to finalize this process upon successful promotion into Challengers.
Further details about the promotion and relegation process for 2024 are set to be revealed soon. This information will be crucial for teams strategizing their journey through the ranks of Premier Esports in EMEA.
Teams and players are encouraged to stay informed about these upcoming details and ensure they meet all requirements for participation.
With Premier Esports EMEA, the path to pro in VALORANT is clearer than ever, offering a structured and rewarding route for aspiring esports professionals in the region. Keep an eye out for more updates as the Premier Esports EMEA ecosystem continues to evolve and define the future of competitive VALORANT.
