Players Displeased With Match Timings in Valorant Premier

The Valorant Premier tournament kicked off on April 29th, but many players are unhappy with the match timings, especially for those in Europe West.

Teams who signed up for the global open beta and are verified have been sorted into divisions, where they will need to play up to two matches to climb their divisions over the coming weeks.

One Reddit user expressed their disappointment with the scheduling on the Valorant subreddit, highlighting the early afternoon timing of the matches in EUW. They questioned why these matches were scheduled at a time when most people would be busy cooking or eating dinner. Other users agreed, suggesting that students and unemployed individuals would be the only ones able to play matches at these times.

Some players suggested switching to a Central & Eastern Europe server to get different match times, but this would come at the cost of latency. Others proposed suggestions such as keeping the window between 8pm – 10pm or limiting how many games one team can play.

Although Riot is working to improve the experience, the tournament is still in beta. Players hope that by the time Valorant Premier launches in August, these issues will be addressed.
