PGL Wallachia S2: All eliminated teams

PGL Wallachia S2: All eliminated teams

Eight teams, including some of the most popular among fans, have been knocked out of PGL Wallachia Season 2, and the next stage of the tournament has begun. And so the group stage is over, and we bid farewell to several familiar faces; the remaining teams – most of which are unknown – are ready for the playoffs. Notably, teams from the Americas are performing well, occupying the majority of the list of the teams that moved on.

Teams that were knocked out of PGL Wallachia S2

  • Alliance
  • Azure Ray
  • Invictus Gaming
  • L1GA TEAM
  • MOUZ
  • Nigma Galaxy
  • Apex Genesis
  • Team Waska

Even though several teams were expected to perform well, PGL Wallachia Season 2 has been merciless. The biggest surprise is Alliance, the legendary team and the TI winner, which came back to competitive Dota 2 at this event. However, Alliance could not come into their own and were eliminated after their third series loss.

Two Chinese powerhouses, Azure Ray and Invictus Gaming, were also eliminated because of recent roster changes. They did not manage to achieve the right balance and were ousted. L1GA TEAM, led by Crystalis, won only one game against Nouns but failed to qualify for the playoffs.

In Western Europe, both MOUZ and Nigma Galaxy performed poorly with 1-3 scores and ranked low in the table. In the Americas, Apex Genesis and Team Waska failed to clinch a single series win and that was the end of their Wallachia campaign.

Moving Teams in PGL Wallachia S2 Playoffs

  • HEROIC
  • Infinity
  • Tundra Esports
  • NAVI
  • Team Falcons
  • beastcoast
  • AVULUS
  • Nouns Esports

When we get to the playoffs, the competition is a little more intense with a mix of veterans and upstarts. North and South American teams remain active and account for half of the remaining eight teams.

Some of the teams such as Tundra Esports and Team Falcons are familiar with the feeling of triumph and qualified to the playoffs with good results. Another young team, AVULUS with Sonneiko, also performed well, having lost only one series to Falcons. NAVI, with Puppee as a stand-in, has also been sharp with a combination of young and experienced players.

On the American front, beastcoast, Infinity, and Nouns all got three big victories that put them in the top eight. But the most successful team up to the present is HEROIC who emerged in the group stage with a perfect 3-0 win, equal to Team Falcons.
