Nigma Galaxy has delivered a stunning victory over OG in the Upper Bracket Final of the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024: Western Europe Closed Qualifier, and fans were left with only one question – Is Nigma back to its legendary form?
The reformed Nigma squad, which now plays with a stand-in team because of the absence of their legendary captain Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi, was able to outplay OG’s stand-in team in a close 2-1 series. The two teams, which played under the conditions of the temporary change, provided fans with an interesting game.

In the first game, Nigma Galaxy seized map pressure and never looked back, while OG failed to capitalize on their team fighting composition. This backfired as Nigma was able to capitalize on every mistake made by the teams relying on skillshot heroes. However, OG was quick to reply in game two and took a brutal 21-minute win that left fans wondering whether Nigma was out of their league in these qualifiers.
But the third and decisive game offered the confrontation that the fans expected. Both teams picked some of the strongest meta heroes such as Luna and Dragon Knight, which paved way for a team fight showdown. At the beginning of the match, OG was more aggressive and won most of the fights against Nigma and extended their lead in the team fights.
However, as the game progressed, Enigma and Tusk of OG began to struggle, while Nigma’s Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan took over the game on Leshrac. The most impressive one, however, was Tony “No!ob” Assaf, the PSG Quest stand-in, who was a game-changer on Mars. His perfect aim with a spear and game-changing stages prevented OG from regaining the initiative and completely shifted the balance in Nigma’s favor after 20 minutes.
What’s Next?
This victory sends OG to the Lower Bracket where every game they play is a do or die affair. They will have to compete with other emerging teams such as AVALUS and MOUZ if they want to earn the only ticket to BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024.
Regarding Nigma, they seem to be recharged. This has been a long time since we have witnessed such a confident and well-coordinated performance of veterans such as SumaiL and Miracle-. If this form holds, Nigma Galaxy could be on track for a resurgence at BetBoom Dacha and might finally return to the major stage for the first time since Clavision: Snow Ruyi back in early August.
