After defeating LOUD and Movistar R7, Golden Guardians and PSG Talon will meet in the Last Chance Qualifier of the 2023 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) play-in stage.
The victor will earn the final spot in the bracket stage, alongside Bilibili Gaming from China and Europe’s G2 Esports.
Golden Guardians was eliminated from the upper bracket after losing to BLG in the tournament’s first three-game series. In the lower bracket, however, they defeated R7 in two games, dominating the competition with kills and superior objective control. Meanwhile, PSG Talon beat LOUD with good objective control and superior team fighting, where Yu “JunJia” Chun-Chia, the team’s talented jungle prospect, shone on Sejuani and Kindred.
The two teams will face off on Sunday, May 7, at 6am CT. Though both teams have shown they can compete against the best, only one can advance to the next stage of the tournament.
