MAD Lions Reverse Sweep Team BDS to Win Third LEC Title

In one of the most thrilling games of the season, MAD Lions have secured their third LEC title by reverse-sweeping Team BDS.

The match was a rollercoaster of emotions for fans, with both teams securing a pentakill each, making it the first grand final of any competitive region to feature two pentakills.

The victory also ensures that MAD Lions will be the region’s first seed at the upcoming 2023 MSI in London, starting on May 2nd.

The first game of the series started well for MAD Lions, but a pentakill from Crownie of Team BDS in the final teamfight secured the win for his team. In game two, BDS dominated the Rift with excellent teamfighting and positioning, securing their twelfth win in a row. However, the third game marked a turning point for MAD Lions, who won several neutral objectives, including the Baron and its buff, and secured a pentakill from Carzzy. They carried their momentum into game four, crushing their opponents and winning the game with ease.

The final game of the series was the most one-sided of the entire split, with MAD Lions dominating from the draft stage onwards.

ImageThey controlled every lane and neutral objective, and after 23 minutes, they were 10,000 gold ahead. MAD Lions won without giving a single kill to Team BDS, securing their spot at the Bracket Stage of the MSI.

With this victory, MAD Lions have once again proven themselves to be the kings of the LEC. Team BDS, on the other hand, will have to wait for the Summer Split to try and win their first title in the region.

The grand final was a treat for fans of competitive League of Legends, and it will go down as one of the most exciting games of the season.
