Teams and Schedule
The LEC 2024 Season Finals are set and the six teams that qualified for the finals are the following. Here are the teams, ordered by their seeding in descending order:
- G2 Esports
- Fnatic
- Team BDS
- MAD Lions KOI
- SK Gaming
- GIANTX
Team Highlights
G2 Esports were the LEC 2024 Summer Split champions, and this was their third split in a row. They overwhelmed Fnatic in the finals with a 3-0 scoreline and secured their place directly to the Worlds 2024. But all the games were much closer than the score suggests and Fnatic was actually out-golding TSM in all three games but for some reason could not push that advantage at some point.
Fnatic is still a formidable opponent, they are the only team that has defeated G2 in a Bo5 this year. This will be important especially when they are on the big stage.
Team BDS came third and has been a very consistent team all season long, racking up a lot of points in all the splits. Their results are rather stable and put them as potential contenders for the qualification to the Worlds.
MAD Lions KOI, however, are in the finals as a wildcard team. They failed to do well in the Summer Split but they qualified because of good performances in the Winter and Spring splits. Their recent form is not very good and they will have to improve a lot.
The two teams that are least likely to proceed far in this tournament are the teams of SK Gaming and GIANTX. Both teams have the quality and now they have the opportunity to upset the top teams and become a Cinderella.
Bracket and Schedule
The LEC Season Finals will begin on August 10 and will feature a double-elimination bracket. The first four seeds are in the upper bracket while seeds 5 and 6 are in the lower bracket. The finals are scheduled for September 1 in Munich, Germany.

- Saturday, August 10 – 18:00 CET: Fnatic vs Team BDS (Winners’ bracket)
- Sunday, August 11 – 18:00 CET: G2 Esports vs MAD Lions KOI (Winners’ bracket)
- Saturday, August 17 – 18:00 CET: TBD vs TBD (Lower bracket)
- Sunday, August 18 – 18:00 CET: TBD vs TBD (Lower bracket)
The losers of the winners’ bracket matches will face SK Gaming and GIANTX. The higher seed among the two losing teams will compete against SK, while the other will face GIANTX.
