Full LoL Worlds 2024 Calendar

  • Play-In Stage: September 25 – September 29
  • Swiss Stage: October 3 – October 13
  • Knockout Stage: October 17 – November 2
  • Grand Final: November 2

The Play-In Stage was held from September 25 to September 29, while the main tournament began on September 26 and concluded on September 30. Currently, the Swiss Stage is taking place from October 3 to October 13. The Knockout Stage will follow, starting on October 17 and continuing until the Grand Final on November 2. The event will kick off with an opening ceremony at 7 a.m. PT, followed by the championship match at 8 a.m. PT.

Worlds 2024 Format

The tournament format follows a structured path, ensuring that every team gets a shot, but only the strongest survive:

  • Play-In Stage: Two brackets of four teams each. Matches are best of three (Bo3). The four best teams advance to the next stage.
  • Swiss Stage: Four teams from the Play-In Stage join 14 other teams, creating a 16-team field. In this stage, teams compete in a best of one (Bo1) format. Advancement and elimination games are best of three (Bo3).
  • Knockout Stage: The top eight teams from the Swiss Stage advance to the Knockout Stage, which is a single-elimination best of five (Bo5) format.
  • Grand Final: The two remaining teams will battle it out at the O2 Arena in London. The final match will determine the 2024 World Champion.
