Kyedae’s Health Struggles Threaten Her Attendance at CONQuest Festival 2023

Kyedae “Kyedae” Shymko recently informed her Filipino fans that her participation in CONQuest Festival 2023 might be compromised due to her ongoing battle with cancer.

The Twitch streamer and 100 Thieves content creator had been scheduled to headline the annual gaming convention in the Philippines, featuring well-known streamers, influencers, and talents.

Diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) on March 3, Kyedae has been undergoing medical treatment for the cancer, which affects the blood and bone marrow. With the event planned for June 2-4, her appearance was confirmed in February, but her latest Twitch stream cast doubt on her ability to attend.

During CONQuest Festival 2022, Kyedae played a significant role, attending the Alliance Games finals, engaging in the influencer Valorant showmatch, and hosting a meet-and-greet with fans. She assured her Filipino supporters that she would return in 2023, even planning to bring her fiancé and Valorant superstar Tyson “TenZ” Ngo.

However, due to her deteriorating health and upcoming chemotherapy sessions, Kyedae is uncertain if she can make the trip.

“I’m probably just going to rest a lot, but we’ll see,” she stated during a recent Twitch stream.

Despite the potential absence of Kyedae, CONQuest Festival 2023 will still feature an impressive roster of headliners, including Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, Leslie Ann “Fuslie” Fu, Imane “Pokimane” Anys, Lily “LilyPichu” Ki, Michael Reeves, Sykkuno, Angela “AriaSaki” Don, and Jaime “iGumDrop” Tan.
