Kyedae’s First Appearance with Disguised GC Achieves Record-Breaking Valorant Game Changers Viewership
Kyedae “Kyedae” Shymko’s professional debut with Disguised GC (DSG GC) smashed Valorant Game Changers viewership records.
The popular streamers’ team attracted a remarkable audience of over 100,000 viewers through three channels: Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang, Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, and Valorant Americas, as reported by esports journalist Jake Lucky.
The partnership of Kyedae, Jodi “QuarterJade” Lee, Sydney “Sydeon” Parker, Tenzin “TrulyTenzin” Dolkar, and Lydia “tupperware” Wilson with Disguised Toast has given Valorant’s Game Changers league a much-needed boost.
Kyedae’s determination and strength as both a player and streamer are commendable, particularly considering her cancer diagnosis a month ago.
Kyedae’s decision to turn pro initially bore fruit, as DSG GC triumphed in their opening Game Changers NA 2023 open qualifier match, defeating Shift X 2-0. DSG GC’s captain, Lydia “tupperware” Wilson, dominated the game, securing the highest number of kills at 54 and earning the title of map MVP in Icebox and Haven.
Regrettably, DSG GC suffered a crushing defeat in the following round, losing 2-0 to one of the tournament’s top contenders, Evil Geniuses GC.
Despite only practicing together for one week, DSG GC has shown they are a formidable team.
Disguised Toast, a well-known streamer who has previously fielded Valorant rosters in NA Challengers and Game Changers, noted that his DSG GC watch party’s viewership peaked at a level comparable to the 2022 Game Changers grand final. In that final, G2 Gozen emerged as champions, defeating Shopify Rebellion GC 3-2.
Disguised Toast tweeted, “This is definitely a scene that is worth supporting, and I’m hoping investors and sponsors recognize the immense potential that is here.”
Disguised GC will continue their Game Changers journey in the open qualifier’s lower bracket on April 6.
