Karmine Corp Bolsters Coaching Staff with YamatoCannon and Shaves for LEC Winter 2024

In a significant move ahead of their debut in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Winter 2024 Split, Karmine Corp (KC) has announced the joining of former Fnatic coaches YamatoCannon from Sweden and Shaves from the UK.

The pair are set to bring their extensive experience and strategic acumen to the French organization, which acquired Astralis’ slot in the LEC last October.

YamatoCannon steps in as the head coach, while Shaves will serve as an assistant coach.

They are joined by a robust coaching team comprising assistant coaches Reha from France and Steak from Taiwan, performance coach Clem, and head of data Xenesis, both from France.

The anticipation for the LEC Winter 2024 Split, commencing on January 13th, has been heightened by KC’s dynamic coaching lineup.

YamatoCannon expressed his excitement about the reunion with Shaves, stating, “I am so happy to be reunited with Shaves. I am home.”

Shaves, reflecting on his departure from Fnatic, conveyed his gratitude for the experiences and support received, looking forward to his new journey with KC, “Let’s get it homies.”

Karmine Corp’s CEO Arthur Perticoz had previously set ambitious long-term goals for the team, emphasizing a steady and strategic approach towards clinching the World Championship title in the coming five to ten years. This vision aligns with the recent bolstering of their coaching staff, showcasing a commitment to building a strong foundation for future success.

In a thrilling reveal titled ‘The Escape’, presented by French telecom giant Orange, KC announced their player roster for the 2024 LEC season.

The lineup features Cabochard from France in the top lane, Bo from China in the jungle, Saken from France as the mid-laner, Upset from Germany as the ADC, and Targamas from Belgium as support. With such a formidable roster, KC aims to make a significant impact in the LEC, as they put it, “the team that will terrify the LEC.”

The announcement comes amidst a notable presence of UK coaches in the LEC Winter 2024, including Duffman with G2 as assistant coach, fredy122 heading Rogue, Ewbuff with SK Gaming as performance coach, and Peter Dun leading Team Heretics as head coach. Additionally, Team Vitality features two British coaches, Mac as LEC head manager and Carter as LEC head coach.

As the LEC 2024 Winter Split approaches, all eyes will be on Karmine Corp as they embark on their maiden LEC journey under the guidance of their new coaching team.

The esports community eagerly awaits to see how this blend of veteran leadership and fresh talent will fare in the highly competitive European League of Legends scene.
