The recent IEM Rio event has concluded with Vitality getting a boost of confidence ahead of the organization’s home Major.
Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, the star player of Vitality, clinched the HLTV x 1xBet MVP title. As the event wraps up, it is a good time to take a look back and decide on the best five players of the event.
In terms of roles, the same system as HLTV’s end-of-year Award Show has been used. The roles include IGL, AWPer, opener, closer, and anchor. For the anchor position, Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato from FURIA stands out as the best rifler in the world, holding various positions during the event. ZywOo, the AWPer of Vitality, had a stellar performance and played a pivotal role in the team’s success.
Lotan “Spinx” Giladi from Vitality, who was signed to be the second fiddle to ZywOo, proved his worth as a closer.
Dan “apEX” Madesclaire from Vitality is the winning captain, and the event showed the balance between his calling style and the ex-Astralis trio.
Lastly, Martin “stavn” Lund from Heroic is the opener, having been the highest-rated player in playoffs for the team.
Overall, the best five players of IEM Rio have been chosen, and there are few role clashes in this lineup. Although Vitality has the majority of the players, the team has a fairly balanced composition. While Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov did not make the cut, most of the best performers of IEM Rio have been recognized.
