HONORIS Disbands: TaZ and NEO’s Esports Venture Ends Due to Financial Struggles

HONORIS, the esports organization founded by Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas and Filip “NEO” Kubski in 2020, has announced its shutdown. The organization’s peak global ranking was No. 43, but insufficient financial resources ultimately led to its demise.

TaZ and NEO established HONORIS after leaving the renowned Virtus.pro roster, seeking a new direction for their careers. The organization became a hub for Polish players, with Kamil “reiko” Cegiełko and TaZ serving as consistent active lineup members throughout its existence. HONORIS gained recognition as a solid tier-two team, claiming ESEA Cash Cups and multiple ESL Polish Championship finals appearances, but failed to consistently qualify for high-profile LAN events.

The team’s most notable LAN appearance was at the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals, where they finished in joint-last place.

NEO expressed hope that HONORIS had positively impacted young players’ careers while demonstrating the potential for building an organization based on fair play principles. TaZ acknowledged that he and NEO had been financing the team themselves and emphasized that players and associates always received timely salaries and organizational support.

The decision to cease HONORIS’ operations was ultimately made due to a lack of adequate financial resources. The players and coach will become free agents at the end of March 2023, while TaZ and NEO plan to announce their future plans individually.
HONORIS’ most recent roster included:
Kamil “reiko” Cegiełko
Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas
Dawid “SaMey” Stańczak
Kamil “Sobol” Sobolewski
Dawid “lunAtic” Cieślak
Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak – coach
Filip “NEO” Kubski – substitute
