Counter-Strike 2’s release later this year is one of the most anticipated events in the gaming world, and now it seems that it will have its own iconic duo.
HenryG and Anders, two of the most recognizable names in CS:GO casting, have announced their plans to become a full-time commentating pair.
HenryG, who took a break from casting for two years before returning in August 2022, is best known for his partnership with Matthew “Sadokist” Trivett, and for memorable lines like “What a blunder!” Meanwhile, Anders has been a part of the CS:GO commentating scene for almost its entire history, having started in 2013.
The two have been commentating together during the week-long Brazy Party tournament, which has come to a close on Wednesday with a final between Cloud9 and Astralis. This online event had a $333,000 prize pool and raised eyebrows when it was announced that the two would be working together, as opposed to their usual partners.
In a statement, HenryG said, “Now that we’re entering our mature and distinguished years, we’ve been advised it’s the time to start experimenting with new partners. After all the fun this week, Anders and I have decided to officially team up as a full-time commentary duo for the remainder of CS:GO in order to lay down a sexy foundation for Counter-Strike 2.”
The pair has already proven to be a hit among the community, with fans praising their chemistry and dynamic style. Many are excited to see what the duo will bring to Counter-Strike 2 when it is released later this year.
