Gen.G Beats T1 Three Times in Three Esports in a Month

Gen.G and T1, two globally acclaimed esports organizations, have moved most of their competitive teams to South Korea, creating a more intense rivalry between the two teams.

In April, Gen.G beat T1 three times across three games: League of Legends, VALORANT, and Overwatch 2, with T1 managing to squeeze out a League victory on April 1st. Gen.G and T1 have been LCK rivals for seasons upon seasons, with both teams based in Seoul, which has made the rivalry even more intense.

Moving to the Pacific League has been a huge benefit for both organizations, with both teams’ VALORANT and Overwatch 2 rosters performing well, but Gen.G has just been slightly better.

The teams faced off in Korea for the first time on the VALORANT stage, with Gen.G taking a confident 2-0 victory. In Overwatch 2, Gen.G owns the Seoul Dynasty, which has been the only professional team based in Korea since the inception of the Overwatch League.

The Seoul Dynasty and Seoul Infernal went head-to-head in the opening match of the 2023 Overwatch League, with the Seoul Dynasty winning 3-2 in close fashion.
