Geek Slate releases Jaunuel following SEA DPC Tour 2 Division I

Geek Slate has parted ways with Jaunuel “Jaunuel” Arcilla following the team’s disappointing performance in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Southeast Asia (SEA) Tour 2 Division I.

The team announced its decision to release the position five player after finishing seventh in the tour and being relegated to Division II. The team has not yet named a replacement for Jaunuel, who was brought in at the start of the season to replace Roger “Roddgeee” Tan.

Geek Slate’s season has been underwhelming, managing only one series win out of seven. This is in stark contrast to their performance in the previous season, where they were SEA’s second-best team and made an appearance at the Lima Major. Roddgeee was let go after the Major, and the team has been struggling since.

The team is looking to finalize their roster for Division II Tour 3, which will also affect their qualification for The International 12 later this year. Geek Slate aims to build a team that can play together for a long time and enter the qualifiers with plenty of match practice. The team has not announced any further changes to their roster, but more changes are expected in the SEA region following the Berlin Major.
