Game Changers EMEA 2024 Unveils New Format and Vision

As VALORANT continues to flourish in the esports realm, Game Changers EMEA is gearing up for an exhilarating 2024 season.

With a renewed focus on fostering female talent in the competitive VALORANT scene, the upcoming year promises to be a landmark for women gamers.

Game Changers EMEA is set to kick off 2024 with the newly introduced Game Changers EMEA Kickoff, featuring an Open Qualifier (OQ) and a Closed Qualifier (CQ).

The intention is to create a robust platform where women can compete, grow, and potentially ascend to higher echelons in VALORANT esports, including the VCT EMEA.

The year will begin with a bang as 128 teams clash in the OQ, vying for four coveted spots in the CQ. This stage will set the tone for the season, as it brings together top teams from the previous year’s VCT Game Changers EMEA Stage 3 and fresh talent from the OQ.

An exciting addition to the format is the EMEA Contenders, a battleground for teams to earn promotion to Game Changers EMEA.

With 32 teams competing, including invites from regional tournaments and two relegated teams from Game Changers EMEA, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

2024 will see an increased focus on individual players and their stories. Aspiring players like ‘devilasxa’, ‘didii’, and ‘Thu’ have already set a precedent, and the new format aims to shine a brighter spotlight on such emerging talents.

The OQs are open to all players ranked Platinum 1 or above, with specific registration windows throughout the year. Teams must maintain their roster throughout the OQ, and players must complete a verification process to participate.

Game Changers EMEA 2024: Key Dates and Stages

  • Kickoff OQ: January 26th to 28th
  • Kickoff CQ: February 3rd to 4th
  • VCT Game Changers EMEA Stage 1: February 16th – March 11th
  • EMEA Contenders Stage 1: March 30th – April 7th
  • EMEA Contenders Stage 2: July 6th – 14th

The Game Changers Championship remains the ultimate goal. The winner of the final Stage in September and the team with the most circuit points throughout the year will represent EMEA on the global stage.
