Fnatic signs crashies to VALORANT roster as Leo is still recovering

Fnatic Signs Austin “crashies” Roberts

Fnatic announced on Wednesday, Dec. 11 that it has officially signed Austin “crashies” Roberts to the VALORANT team for the 2025 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT).

This decision has raised a lot of debate in the VALORANT community because fans were still expecting Leo “Leo” Jannesson to come back. However, Fnatic team director Colin “CoJo” Johnson stated that Leo is still unable to play due to health problems and requires more time to regain his strength.

‘Leo is still a member of Fnatic but it is very hard to tell when he will be able to come back,’ CoJo said. Until then, crashies will take over Leo’s position and add his years of experience to the team.

Crashies: A Proven Leader Takes the EMEA Stage

Crashies, a popular player in the VALORANT community, finally enters the EMEA scene for the first time. The 26-year-old has a successful career behind him, having been a part of the championship-winning Envy/OpTic Gaming lineup alongside Pujan “FNS” Mehta and Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker. Later he played for NRG and proved that he is one of the most stable and smart players in North America.

Crashies’ fans are waiting to see how he will perform in the EMEA region and what the “veteran leadership and mid-rounding expertise,” as CoJo said, will contribute to the team.

Fnatic’s 2025 VALORANT Lineup

Fnatic’s roster for the 2025 VCT season is shaping up to include:

  • Austin "crashies" Roberts
  • Jake "Boaster" Howlett
  • Emir "Alfajer" Beder
  • Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov
  • Kajetan "kaajak" Haremski

Kajetan “kaajak” Haremski, who joined the team in October with Ștefan “Sayonara” Mîtcu, should take the starting position because the latter is only 16 years old. This roster will be a new chapter for Fnatic as the organization looks to rebuild after Derke’s move to Team Vitality.

Debut Match Incoming

Crashies is expected to play for Fnatic for the first time this Saturday, December 14, against ZETA DIVISION in the Riot Games ONE PRO INVITATIONAL in Yokohama, Japan. People are excited to watch this new lineup and how crashies can support Fnatic in continuing to be one of the best teams in VALORANT.
