First Update for Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test Addresses Bugs and Enhances Gameplay

Just two days after the launch of the Limited Test, Valve has released the first update for Counter-Strike 2, introducing bug fixes and refinements to audio, graphics, and gameplay elements.

Significant audio enhancements include the integration of weapon drop sounds into the minimap’s distance broadcast feature and a reduction in the flashbang ringing effect’s volume. Ambient sounds on Dust2 have also been adjusted for better in-game experience.

In terms of gameplay improvements, bullet holes in smokes now appear consistently for all players, regardless of their viewmodel settings. This adjustment eliminates the competitive advantage previously gained by having the viewmodel closer to the center.

The update addresses various bugs related to smokes, weapon pickups while dead, and voice-related issues. Fans of the net_graph command in CS:GO will be pleased to learn that it has been added to Counter-Strike 2.
