Falcons bench Python and transition to an English-speaking roster after their failure to qualify for the BLAST Paris Major.
Additionally, KennyS is stepping down from the team to become a content creator for the organization.
The team will step back from competitive matches while they consider options to fill the two empty roster spots. The announcement indicated that KennyS’s transition was planned beforehand.
Falcons started to revamp their roster late last year, bringing in KennyS in November and Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro in January. Despite promising performances, such as placing second in both the Thunderpick Bitcoin Series 2 and OMEN WGR Challenge, the team could not secure a Major appearance after they were defeated by BIG in the Last Chance Qualifier.
Python was the lowest-rated player, along with KennyS, across the RMR and Last Chance Qualifier, and the move to bench him comes as no surprise. The team now consists of Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt, Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro, and Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier, with Steeve “Ozstrik3r” Flavigni as the coach.
KennyS released a Twitlonger, expressing gratitude for the chance and the opportunity to play the last CSGO Major in his home country. However, he acknowledged that he was overwhelmed by the RMR and did not meet his own “unrealistic and idealistic expectations.”
