Eternal Fire has announced the departure of Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç from the active roster, marking the third time the 20-year-old has left the team in seven months.
The announcement comes after the team failed to qualify for the BLAST Paris Major Europe RMR B, where they collected only one win against Astralis.
According to Eternal Fire, their academy member Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın will act as a stand-in until a permanent solution is found.
xfl0ud initially joined the team in October 2021 and played for five months before suffering a broken arm that took him out of action for a month.
He returned after a rehabilitation period but was replaced by VALORANT-returnee Ahmet “paz” Karahoca in July, lasting only six months in the team. After Özgür “woxic” Eker’s departure, xfl0ud returned to the team in October 2022.
During his third stint, Eternal Fire achieved its greatest success at CCT Central Europe Malta Finals 1. Still, a 17-20th place finish at ESL Pro League Season 17 and failure to qualify for the Paris Major led to yet another change.
Eternal Fire’s next official game is against Apeks on Wednesday at Brazy Party.
The team’s roster for the foreseeable future includes
- Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli
- Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş
- Buğra “Calyx” Arkın
- Ömer “imoRR” Karataş
- Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın as a stand-in
- Sezgin “Fabre” Kalaycı is the team’s coach
- Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç has been benched.
