Eternal Fire has announced that Ömer “imoRR” Karataş will no longer play in their active roster and has transitioned to the role of content creator within the organization.
This marks the second roster change for the Turkish team within a month, as the organization sidelined Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç back in April.
imoRR is the longest-standing member of Eternal Fire, having represented the brand ever since its founding in August 2021. Despite having consistent high-rated performances, the team has struggled to achieve meaningful results, except for a LAN victory in the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals in February.
Their best finish at a major event was a 17th-20th place at ESL Pro League Season 17. They also performed poorly at the BLAST.tv Paris Major RMR, which led to the team’s roster changes.
Eternal Fire has accepted an invitation to the BetBoom Playlist Freedom Play-In stage, which offers a $150,000 prize pool. The team has just over two weeks to reorganize its roster before the online competition.
The current roster for Eternal Fire includes:
- Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş
- Buğra “Calyx” Arkın
- Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli
- academy player Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın, who is serving as a stand-in
- Sezgin “Fabre” Kalaycı will continue to serve as the coach of the team
In the team’s announcement tweet, they expressed gratitude for imoRR’s contributions to the organization and for the “great moments he has shared with us.”
