DreamLeague Season 24 Qualified Teams

DreamLeague Season 24 Qualified Teams

It was only a few weeks ago that The International 13 concluded and yet here we are with DreamLeague Season 24 looming. The qualifiers have started and this is expected to be a tough battle between the best Dota 2 teams in the world.

For those looking forward to some of the best Dota action, these are the teams that will be participating in DreamLeague S24 where 16 of the best teams will fight for their slice of a one million dollar prize pool and EPT points. The journey to this prestigious event has been through open qualifiers, closed invites, and a lot of surprises.

DreamLeague S24 Qualified Teams

AVULUS

AVULUS from Western Europe is the first team to qualify from this very strong region of the world. WEU qualifiers are always known to have the best talent and the competition was stiff with teams like Team OG and MOUZ and yet AVULUS was able to come out on top.

Some critics will be quick to dismiss AVULUS’ run as a mere stroke of luck—pointing out that they were lucky to dodge some of the giants such as OG—there is no denying that this team is talented. Promising talents such as Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev and Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau should be able to help the team improve. As for OG, their failure in the qualifiers, including the defeat from a team with a player named “fortniteMan,” surprised many fans.

BandaNoone (formerly Cloud9)

In Eastern Europe, BandaNoone had a very comfortable passage through the qualifier. This team is a new one and it is formed by ex-Cloud9 players, but for the moment they do not have an official name because of the contracts they are signing. But, their chemistry and skill from their Cloud9 days are still present, which makes them a very dangerous team in the next competition.

Azure Ray

In China, Azure Ray just defeated Team Zero to become the only team that qualified for the regional competition. Even though Team Zero had a roster change after TI, they were still a formidable team, which placed the focus on Azure Ray’s win. This win shows that Azure Ray is a team to look out for as they go into DreamLeague S24.

Talon Esports

The Southeast Asia qualifiers saw a major upset as Talon Esports emerged as the champions after beating Aurora Gaming. Aurora, which was 7th at TI13, was expected to do well but after massive roster changes they became a shell of their former selves. On the other hand, Talon decided to bring in Carlo “Kuku” Palad as a stand-in hard support which appeared to take the team to the next level. This win has made Talon Esports a contender for the DreamLeague title, which was not expected before the tournament.

HEROIC

From South America, HEROIC confidently qualified for the qualifier round. After TI3 they have been consistent and have been known as a team that will always be in the top 9. New additions to the roster such as David “Parker” Nicho Flores as the new hard carry has also helped to boost the team. Parker’s raw talent will be a focus for opponents as HEROIC looks to make a run in DreamLeague S24.

Nigma Galaxy

Last but not least, Nigma Galaxy of the Middle East and South West Asia (MESWA) region had an easy ride through their qualifiers, with several forfeitures and disqualifications to their advantage. Their last opponents, Zone Academy, made it to the finals without a single victory because of the same sequence of defaults. Still, there is no strong opponent in the qualifiers, so Nigma Galaxy has a lot to prove at DreamLeague.
