Dota 2 Teams Gearing Up for the Berlin Major 2023

The ESL One Berlin Major 2023, the second Major of the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season, is set to take place in Berlin. As the excitement from the Lima Major lingers and The International 2023 (TI12) approaches, teams aim to secure as many DPC points as possible from this season’s second Major.

Scheduled from April 27 to May 7, the Berlin Major features a $500K USD prize pool and 2700 DPC points. Eighteen top Dota 2 teams from around the world will compete for the championship title, prize money, and points.

Here’s a closer look at the teams qualified for the upcoming Berlin Major.

Berlin Major 2023 Dota 2 Participants
Eighteen top teams from various regions will participate in the Berlin Major 2023, following the same format as the Lima Major. Western Europe (WEU) and China (CN) will each send four teams, while Southeast Asia (SEA) and Eastern Europe (EEU) will have three representatives each. Additionally, North America (NA) and South America (SA) will each have two teams. Only the top six teams will proceed to the Velodrom arena stage, where they will compete in front of a live audience.

As the Division I of Tour 2 DPC is in its final week, only a few teams have secured their spots at the Major.
Talon Esports and Team SMG were among the first to qualify for the tournament after exceptional performances in the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 2: Division I. This will be Team SMG’s debut at a Dota 2 Major. Talon Esports, a regional favorite that placed third at the Lima Major, was expected to secure a spot. One more spot remains for SEA teams at the Major.

Confirmed Teams participating in the Berlin Major 2023:

  • Talon Esports [Southeast Asia]
  • Team SMG [Southeast Asia]
  • PSG.LGD [China]
  • Team Liquid [Western Europe]
  • Gaimin Gladiators [Western Europe]
