Complexity’s journey in the North American closed qualifier began on a shaky note with a defeat against Forsaken, led by Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz. However, they showcased resilience and determination, embarking on an undefeated streak in the lower bracket. This impressive run saw them besting teams like Nouns, exacting revenge on Forsaken with a dominant rematch, and finally overcoming M80.
- On August 24th, Complexity faced a 1:2 setback against Forsaken.
- On August 25th, they bounced back with a 2:0 victory over Nouns, followed by a 2:0 win against Forsaken.
- On August 26th, Complexity sealed their spot with a decisive 2:0 triumph over M80.
With Complexity’s inclusion, the IEM Sydney 2023 roster is now complete, boasting 16 top-tier teams:
