Cloud9 emerged victorious in the Brazy Party grand finals after defeating Astralis in a three-map series.
The Russian-majority roster secured their second online tournament victory of the year and took home a $133,000 prize.
Cloud9 will use their first-place showing to gain much-needed confidence and stability after missing out on a spot at the upcoming BLAST.tv Paris Major.
Astralis, on the other hand, will still leave with their heads held high despite being disappointed they could not win the online competition.
Brazy Party was Alexander “Altekz” Givskov’s debut tournament with the squad, and the Danes will feel confident that their most recent roster move was the right choice after securing a grand final finish.
The tournament saw Cloud9 conceding Overpass, responding on Vertigo, and then winning Inferno to wrap up the competition.
