CHALLENGERS ASCENSION ANNOUNCED – Three Teams to Earn Promotion into International Leagues for 2024 Season!

In an exciting development, the details for the highly anticipated Challengers Ascension tournaments have been revealed.

These tournaments will serve as the ultimate culmination of the Challengers Season, with three teams earning promotion into the International Leagues for the 2024 season. Promoted teams will have the chance to showcase their skills in the VCT season, enjoy league benefits, and compete for qualification into Masters and Champions. What’s more, all three Ascension Tournaments will conclude on LAN with live audiences.

Following the conclusion of Masters, the three Challengers Ascension tournaments will kick off, featuring the best teams from the Pacific, EMEA, and Americas regions. With over twenty Challengers Leagues taking place worldwide in 2023, only the finest teams have made it to this stage.

Challengers Ascension: PACIFIC

The Group Stage for the PACIFIC region will take place from June 28 to July 4, followed by the Playoffs from July 7 to 9. The thrilling competition will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, with all matches taking place in front of a live studio audience. The ten Challenger leagues in the PACIFIC region will each qualify one team for the Ascension Tournament. These ten teams will be divided into two groups, competing in a Single Round Robin format with Best-of-Three matches. The top three teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. The top two teams from the Group Stage will receive byes into the Semifinals, while the remaining four teams will compete in the Quarterfinals. The Playoffs will feature a Single Elimination bracket, with Best-of-Three matches in the early rounds and a Best-of-Five Grand Final.

Challengers Ascension: EMEA

EMEA’s Ascension tournament will kick off with the Group Stage from June 30 to July 4, followed by the Playoffs from July 13 to 16. The event will take place in Berlin, Germany, at the VCT EMEA Coliseum. Ten teams will participate, with nine earning their spots through the EMEA Challengers Leagues and one through the Play-In Tournament. The Group Stage will be an online Single Round Robin Tournament, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Playoffs. The Playoffs will feature a Single Elimination bracket, culminating in a thrilling Best-of-Five finals.

Challengers Ascension: AMERICAS

The Americas’ Ascension tournament will take place from June 30 to July 9 in São Paulo, Brazil. Six teams will compete, including two from the Challenger Leagues of Brazil and North America, one from LATAM South, and one from LATAM North. The tournament will commence at the VALORANT Brazil studio and conclude with live audience matches at a venue to be announced soon. The teams will be divided into two groups of three, with a Single Round Robin Group Stage determining the seeding for the Double Elimination Playoff bracket. The Grand Finals will be a thrilling Best-of-Five match, while all other matches in the Playoffs will be Best-of-Three.
