BuZz Discusses Talon’s Triple Duelist Tactic in VCT 2023 Pacific League Match Against DRX

DRX, the leading Valorant team in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, continued their winning streak in the Valorant Challengers Tour (VCT) 2023: Pacific League with a 2-0 victory over Talon Esports. In a post-match interview, Byung-chul “BuZz” Yu, a crucial player for DRX, shared his thoughts on Talon’s unconventional triple duelist strategy used during the first map, Split.

Talon’s lineup featured Panyawat “Sushiboys” Subsiriroj as Jett, Itthirit “foxz” Ngamsaard as Yoru, and Jittana “JitBoyS” Nokngam as Raze. BuZz admitted that DRX was caught off guard by the bold agent selection, but the team quickly adapted and focused on stopping Talon’s aggressive strategy from gaining momentum.

Despite Talon’s risk-taking, their strategy fell short against DRX’s superior strategic play. DRX displayed a strong defense and quickly followed with an effective attack. Talon tried to bounce back on the second map, Pearl, but ultimately, DRX secured another 2-0 victory with a 13-10 scoreline.

With a flawless regular season record, DRX has delivered consecutive wins against ZETA DIVISION, Global Esports, and Talon Esports. As they prepare to face Paper Rex, the team is determined to maintain their dominant position in the league.
