BLG vs MDK – A Critical Test for the LEC Team

to be played in the first two days alone. This unpredictability has made it even harder to get accurate pick’ems
since there is always a surprise that no one sees coming.
However, that might not be the case for the upcoming BLG vs MDK match. While MDK, representing the LEC,
impressed during the play-ins by breaking their regional curse, they now face a daunting challenge: BLG,
the team that has the first seed in the LPL. The chances may not be in MDK’s favor, but there is good news.
Such a strong opponent in the first round can be useful as a wake-up call and could set the tone for a smoother
sailing in the later rounds. More importantly, it is the first time to know how MDK is competitive against
one of the strongest Eastern teams.
Match Breakdown
MDK was also good in form during the play-ins, and the players rose to the occasion at the right time. Supa
and Alvaro, the bot lane, stood out, and the upcoming match against BLG’s bot lane, Elk, and ON, should be
exciting. This 2v2 battle will be interesting as both pairs have the ability to turn the tide of the series.
On the top side of the map, Myrwn will be going up against BLG’s Bin, who is considered one of the scariest
top laners in the world. If Myrwn can pull out some of his pocket picks, we may be in for a fireworks display
in the top lane.
The matchup of the jungle is also quite interesting. Elyoya, the main jungler of MDK, will have to be sharp
against Wei of BLG, who is famous for his early game ganks. Such a player as Elyoya, who can match Wei’s tempo,
may become the key to success for MDK.
The most difficult match-up might be in the mid lane where MDK’s Fresskowy will be up against Knight, who is
considered one of the best mid laners globally. This will be a baptism of fire for Fresskowy and to have a
fighting chance against Knight, MDK will have to get through the laning phase.
