Biggest Buffs and Nerfs in Dota 2 Patch 7.37e: Full Breakdown

Biggest Buffs and Nerfs in Dota 2 Patch 7.37e: Full Breakdown

Big Changes in Patch 7.37e

Ringmaster: The Showman Shines

Of the changes that stand out the most, Ringmaster is one of the biggest beneficiaries of this patch. Instead of nerfs, he got a huge boost that makes his ultimate ability, Escape Act, even stronger.

  • Aghanim’s Scepter Upgrade: Now grants Escape Act two charges.
  • Additional Damage Output: When activated, the box inflicts 300 magical damage to everyone within a 275-radius area and fires 8 Impalement Art daggers with 50% range in all directions.

This buff not only increases Ringmaster’s damage output but also makes him a more viable savior for his team. Look for Ringmaster to make a rise in the ranks in both pub and competitive drafts.

Naga Siren: A Necessary Nerf

The threat of Naga Siren in professional matches has now been answered. Her status as a position-5 support that could farm like a core was enough to make her a high-priority ban.

Although this nerf may not have a significant impact on the casual pub games, it is a much-needed change for the competitive scene where her utility and farming were overpowered.

Juggernaut: Spin to Win

Carry players have a reason to celebrate as Juggernaut’s Blade Fury receives a notable buff:

  • Cooldown Reduction: Decreased by 6 seconds at level 1.

This change allows Juggernaut to get more chances to gain early kills, especially when combined with stuns or slows like Lich, Tusk, or other heroes. Also, the decrease in the skill’s cooldown time makes Blade Fury more effective for both attacking and for getting away from dangerous opponents.

Significant Nerfs

Enchantress: Less Durable Early On

Enchantress has been a great choice due to her tankiness and the fact she can easily transition from a position-5 support to a damage dealer. However, patch 7.37e targets her early-game sustainability:

  • Nature’s Attendants: Healing duration at level 1 has been decreased.

Although her core abilities are not changed, this nerf makes Enchantress less tanky in the early game and may affect her early game presence.

Medusa: The Fall of a Titan

Medusa takes a heavy hit in patch 7.37e with changes to two of her key abilities:

  • Venomous Volley: Now scales with Split Shot (Split Shot also has been rescaled), making it less of an AOE skill.
  • Mana Shield: Damage per mana, at base, was reduced from 2.4 to 2.2.

These changes are likely to force Medusa out of the pro meta, as her once dominant team fight presence and sustain have been nerfed.

Other Hero Adjustments in Patch 7.37e

Notable Buffs

  • Alchemist: Unstable Concoction cooldown has been reduced.
  • Anti-Mage: His base strength was raised from 19 to 21, which in turn enhanced his laning phase durability.
  • Elder Titan: Deconstruction now loses 1 stack per second instead of all stacks at once.
  • Sven: God’s Strength mana cost reduced. Vanquisher innate ability bonus damage was increased from 17% to 20%.

Significant Nerfs

  • Kez: The Grappling Claw lifesteal bonus of the new hero was adjusted to make her less powerful in the early game.
  • Axe: One Man Army armor as strength decreased from 50% to 40%, which made him less tanky.
  • Bristleback: Hairball cast range decreased from 1000 to 750, thus decreasing the amount of poke he can deal.
  • Pangolier: The turn rate bonus of Thunderbolt was decreased from +110% to +40%, which means that during fights his Rolling Thunder became less maneuverable.
  • Shadow Fiend: The Lasting Presence ability no longer grants bonus armor reduction after his death, and the armor reduction duration was reduced from 70s to 60s.
