BIG and Ninjas in Pyjamas Among Invited Teams for CCT Online Finals

GRID has announced the first set of invites for the upcoming CCT Online Finals, which will be held from May 23-30.

The tournament, featuring a $200,000 prize pool, will bring together sixteen teams from Europe and South America to compete in an online format.

The invites for the CCT Online Finals have been extended to six teams based on their performance in the CCT North Europe and South America circuits. The South American region will be represented by Sharks, Meta, and Corinthians, while Fluxo opted out of the event and Corinthians took their place.

From the European circuit, notable teams like BIG, Ninjas in Pyjamas, 9INE, and FORZE have received invitations. BIG, the highest-ranked team among them, aims to bounce back from their underwhelming performances in the European RMR and Brazy Party tournaments. Other teams such as Ninjas in Pyjamas, GamerLegion, FORZE, and 9INE will enter the competition after their participation in the Paris Major.

Astralis Talent, winners of the most recent CCT North Europe Series 4, will also be in attendance alongside Aurora and HAVU. The remaining six teams will be announced in the coming days.

ImageThe CCT Online Finals will mark the shift from GRID’s initial plan of ten offline events to five online events with double the prize pool. This adjustment was made to accommodate teams’ busy schedules and allow more participation in these high-stakes competitions.

The confirmed teams for the CCT Online Finals include:

  • BIG
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • FORZE
  • 9INE
  • GamerLegion
  • Aurora
  • Astralis Talent
  • HAVU
  • Sharks
  • Meta
