Quest Esports, previously known as Ooredoo Thunders, has been gaining attention in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) scene with its impressive performances and the recent addition of Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf as their new offlane player.
After a strong showing in the DPC WEU Tour 2 Division I, where they defeated some of the top teams in the world, Quest Esports narrowly missed out on securing a spot at the Berlin Major 2023.
Determined to bounce back, the team decided to strengthen their roster by bringing in ATF as their new offlane player. With this new addition, Quest Esports aims to achieve a high standing in Tour 3, capitalizing on their improved synergy and firepower.
ATF, who was previously part of Nigma Galaxy, made his presence known in his team’s first DPC Division I match of Tour 3 against his former team, OG. The series was fiercely contested, resulting in Quest Esports securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory. In a post-match interview, ATF shared his thoughts on the games and discussed his journey of joining Quest Esports.
Reflecting on the intense series against OG, ATF expressed his satisfaction with the hard-fought victory. He provided insights into the games and shed light on how he came to join Quest Esports.
“After Tour 2, Quest Esports contacted me and asked me to join. I tested with them and played in a small tournament, which we won. That’s when I decided to join them. I really like it here,” ATF revealed.
ATF’s statement indicates that Quest Esports reached out to him after the conclusion of DPC WEU Tour 2. He then participated in a small tournament, likely referring to the European Pro League Season 8, where Quest Esports emerged victorious by defeating D1 Hustlers 3-2. Impressed by the team’s performance, ATF made the decision to join Quest Esports for the upcoming DPC Tour.
He also expressed his satisfaction with playing alongside his new teammates, highlighting their support in allowing him to showcase his small hero pool of five heroes.
“This team is really good. They are great teammates and talented players. They allow me to play the heroes that I’m most comfortable with, which is a pool of five heroes. I appreciate their trust and permanence,” ATF added.
ATF’s arrival at Quest Esports has injected a renewed sense of determination and synergy into the team. With their recent victory over OG in a closely contested series, Quest Esports is making a name for themselves in the DPC WEU Tour 3: Division I. ATF’s journey to join the team reflects the mutual confidence and belief shared between him and Quest Esports. As they strive for success in the tournament, ATF’s hero pool and the team’s strong teamwork serve as a solid foundation. Fans eagerly anticipate witnessing the continued growth and accomplishments of Quest Esports in the DPC.
