Esports organization Astralis has announced a new partnership with GoWish, a Danish gift registry service. This partnership is a new approach to fan interaction, which is still a concern for Astralis as it looks for new ways to interact with its fans.
In this strategic partnership, Astralis and GoWish will be sharing the love by choosing one of the supporters’ wishlist items each month to send. The catch? The chosen item has to be an official Astralis product that can be purchased on the team’s online shop.
GoWish was launched in 2015 by the Danish Post and has since become a popular platform for users to create, share, and manage wishlists. GoWish has more than 12 million lists created and is used by 50% of the Danish population; fans can add items from the Counter-Strike universe and official Astralis merchandise.
The partnership aims to enhance the relationship between Astralis and its audience and support GoWish’s “Fixing Gifting” mission. In a statement, both companies said that the partnership will assist in “bridging the gap between gamers and their favorite players and teams” and introduce the concept of social shopping to the esports industry.
Recent Activities and Business Developments
This announcement comes close on the heels of a series of activities for Astralis, which has partnered with electronics retail chain Elgiganten to introduce the ‘Less Flaming, More Gaming’ campaign. This initiative helps players to make the atmosphere in both casual and competitive games more friendly.
On the business side, Astralis recently went through a change with the resignation of its Director of Communications, Steen Laursen, who is one of the founding members of the organization. Moreover, Astralis has worked with its official clothing sponsor hummel and streetwear brand SUANA to release a capsule collection in the first half of this year.
